January 1, 1970
Attendance was down a bit this year but the guests made up in enthusiastic support what they lacked in numbers!
Forty-eight tickets were sold but Janet Stewart fed over fifty when bartenders, Cody Enterprise photographers, and entertainers were included in those served. Sue Forst’s posters and programs were beautiful. Jeff Troxel’s music filled the Boot and Bottle Clubhouse as guests bellied up to Gail Nace’s bar, bid on the silent auction items, and bought FOAL items at our SWAG table.
As dinner was finishing up, Dawn Borwegen held the crowd’s attention with stories of her talented and well-awarded mustangs. Phyllis Preator’s centerpieces were a big hit, and she and Tricia Hatle supported the live auction with tales of the horses offered for special sponsorships. Tricia once again made a great “Vanna White” for the lovely photographs of Ada Inbody’s, (conditioned by Cindy Bennett), as well as other live auction offerings! Press Stevens presided over a very successful live auction.
Everyone, including board members, advisory board members, pitched in and made it appear seamless, though we all know how much work goes into it!
