“A Visit with the McCullough Peaks Mustangs” introduces the reader to the different roles and rules wild horses live by in order to ensure their survival.
This book was written by FOAL board member Michaele Dimock, with photographs by fellow member, Ada Inbody. It was inspired by an educational opportunity FOAL had at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, in which 400 school children learned about the mustangs living only a few miles away.
Though originally written for younger audiences, adults seem to delight in this story too. Readers not only learn about horse behavior, but also become aware of the challenges these horses face and what FOAL is doing to preserve our public treasure.
